Exterior is coated with a lacquered finish for tarnish resistance. You do not need to remove lacquer in order to use canisters. 1 Qt., 1½ Qt., 2 Qt. & 4 Qt. capacities. Canister Dimensions: 4Qt: 6.75" x 6.75" x 8.5", 2Qt: 5.75" x 5.75" x 7.5", 1½Qt: 4.75" x 4.75" x 6.5", 1Qt: 4" x 4" x 5.5". Hand wash only with a damp cloth. A mild dish detergent solution may be used for cleaning. After washing, hand dry thoroughly. Do not soak in water. Not dish washer safe.
